The Aquatic Commons (global)
The Aquatic Commons is a thematic digital repository covering the natural marine, estuarine /brackish and fresh water environments . It includes all aspects of the science, technology, management and conservation of these environments, their organisms and resources, and the economic, sociological and legal aspects.

Forum Fisheries Agency [FFA] Publications - soon to be available from the SPC Coastal and Oceanic Fisheries Digital Library

NOAA Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Centre Library

Research & Publications in Marine Science in digital form, including preprints, published articles, technical reports, working papers and more.  OceanDocs is supported by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) specifically to collect, preserve and facilitate access to all research output from members of their Ocean Data and Information Networks (ODINS). It is one of a number of complementary thematic digital marine and aquatic repositories including the Aquatic Commons, which is supported by the International Association of Aquatic and Marine Science Libraries and Information Centers (IAMSLIC). The records of both repositories are harvested by Avano which aggregates records from marine and aquatic repositories around the World.

Pacific Islands Climate Change Virtual Library
The Pacific Islands Climate Change Virtual Library provides web accessible climate information and products such as adaptation guides, case studies, and decision support tools relevant to Pacific Island coastal managers.

Pacific Ocean Library
The Center for Ocean Solutions is a non-profit collaboration among Stanford University (through its Woods Institute for the Environment and researchers at Hopkins Marine Station and the main campus), the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI). The Center for Ocean Solutions Pacific Ocean Library is a resource originally created for a group of scientists developing a Pacific Ocean Scientific Consensus Statement on the environmental threats and socioeconomic impacts, and potential solutions for the region. In preparation for the Scientific Consensus Statement, the Center for Ocean Solutions prepared an extensive literature review. The references are now available online through this bibliographic database.

PIMRIS Databases

(i) Moana Bibliographic Collection
A bibliographic database of Pacific marine literature maintained from 1987-2006 by the PIMRIS Coordination Unit based in Suva, Fiji. Database covers living and non-living marine resources specific to Pacific Island countries and includes library holdings from the University of the South Pacific (USP), Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA), South Pacific Applied Geoscience Commission (SOPAC), Secretariat of the Pacific Environment Programme (SPREP) and national centres (national marine / fisheries departments).  Does not include access to full text documents. * See the PIMRIS Regional E-repository for access to full text documents.

(ii) PIMRIS Regional E-Repository
A regional repository of published and unpublished documents produced by marine and fisheries departments in the Pacific Islands Countries. Documents available in digitized format include annual reports, project reports, working papers, and articles.  The PIMRIS Regional E-Repository is a partner of the IOC/IODE OceanDocs network.

(iii) USP Aquatic E-Repository .
The USP Aquatic Repository is a collection of published and unpublished documents on marine and freshwater living and non-living resources produced by the the staff of the institutions affiliated with the University of the South Pacific.The collection provides freely available publications such as research and technical reports, thesis, preprints, published articles and more. This digital collection is a part of PIMRIS initiatives.

ReefBase Pacific
The ReefBase Pacific Information Portal contains at least 9987 publication references (2211 French, 7757 English) of which 8533 are available in full text (2269 PDFs and 6697 via web-links), 1389 images, 147 project summaries, 198 details of people (scientists, project managers, etc) and details of 126 organisations. The information portal contains other datasets presented in separate easily locatable sections. The ReefBase Pacific Information Portal is also available in DVD format and is presented in both English and French.

SPC Coastal and Oceanic Fisheries Digital Library
Comprises more than 6,500 fisheries and aquaculture related documents produced by, for, or in collaboration with SPC. It includes newsletters, information bulletins, meeting papers, technical reports, field reports, posters, technical manuals and handbooks, and bibliographies

SPREP Virtual Library
The Secretariat for the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) is a regional organisation established by the governments and administrations of the Pacific region to look after its environment. SPREP's mandate is to promote cooperation in the Pacific islands region and to provide assistance in order to protect and improve the environment and to ensure sustainable development for present and future generations. The SPREP Library provides access to more that 30,000 environmental document records of 20 Pacific island states and territories. More than 2,000 documents are available in full text.
